To support:
unixODBC mgr installed and valid connections in odbc.ini test via isql

Tried to get this working with the SAS/Access module and got the following errors
Could not load /sas93/software/SASFoundations/9.3/sasexe/sasodb
Dependent module /usr/local/unixODBC/lib/libodbc.a(odbc.so) could not be loaded. Member odbc.so is not found in archive load module /sas93/software/SASFoundations/9.3/sasexe/sasodb

Using the following lib statement in SAS libname mydblib odbc datasrc=CIDDQ user=wc1a password=mypassword

ldd sasodb
sasodb needs:
         /usr/local/unixODBC/lib/libodbc.a(odbc.so)
ar: 0707-109 Member name odbc.so does not exist.
dump: /tmp/tmpdir9765012/extract/odbc.so: 0654-106 Cannot open the specified file.
         /usr/lib/libc_r.a(shr_64.o)
         /unix
         /usr/lib/libcrypt.a(shr_64.o)
         /usr/lib/libc.a(shr_64.o)

Suggestions please!?!?!
