Oh, it was in /usr/lib64/
So isql works now.
How do I specify datasource ODBC_pathogen in the SQLDriverConnect connection string?
It still says
[unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified

when I say DATASOURCE=ODBC_pathogen or DSN=ODBC_pathogen

        isql says

        [01000][unixODBC][Driver Manager]Can't open lib
          '/usr/lib/libmyodbc5.so' : file not found
        [ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect

What do I install to get libmyodbc5.so ? Why didn't
          mysql-connector-odbc already install it?

Check with ldd, you may have that kib, but it may need another lib
that is missing or not found.

Also, check that both the driver manager and the driver are 32 bit
    (or 64).
