Thats a bit mixed up, the tracing goes into a [ODBC] section, and 
unixODBC doesn't need the [ODBC Drivers] section, use

[ODBC]
Trace = Yes
TraceFile = /tmp/unixODBC.trace
ForceTrace = Yes
Pooling = No

I haven't any direct experence of that, but allowing the logging to work 
may well help.
