Hi Markus,

The test code in your mail works in case if we use Oracle ODBC driver 
with unixODBC-2.2.12.
So it should not be problem with unixODBC-2.2.12.

Kindly check driver code, if it is Oracle's ODBC driver then let me know 
maybe I can help you out in that case.
