Hi all,

after I found the correct link to the cvs (the documentation is not
right), I downloaded the source and followed the documentation. But I
got several errors:

make -f Makefile.cvs
*** Retrieving configure tests needed by configure.in
aclocal:configure.in:174: warning: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in
library
*** Building Makefile templates (step one)

undefined

add `AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
DRVConfig/Mimer/Makefile.am:1: to `configure.in' and run `aclocal' and
`autoconf' again.
DRVConfig/MiniSQL/Makefile.am:1: Libtool library used but `LIBTOOL' is
undefined
DRVConfig/MiniSQL/Makefile.am:1:

*** Error code 1

Stop in /.../unixODBC.

I followed the notice and put AC_PROG_LIBTOOL into configure.in

$ aclocal
aclocal:configure.in:174: warning: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in
library

$ autoconf
$

$ ./configure
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c

checking for gawk... no
checking for mawk... no
checking for nawk... nawk

...
checking for setenv... yes
checking for setlocale... yes
checking for strchr... yes
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in

What must I do, to get unixODBC build and can install it?

Using:
FreeBSD 6.2 i386
automake (GNU automake) 1.9.6
aclocal (GNU automake) 1.9.6
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.59
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.22 (1.1220.2.365 2005/12/18 22:14:06)

Kind regards,

Susanne
